So in an effort to continue to provide you with new and exciting journeys along the world's most fascinating waterways, we have expanded our offering to include new European and China river cruises along with two new itineraries through Egypt and the Galápagos Islands.
New Ships for 2009
To accommodate our six new itineraries for 2009, along with our valued Avalon travelers, we have added two luxurious new ships--the Avalon Affinity and the Avalon Creativity, joining their sister ship, the Avalon Scenery, which launched in 2008 and cruises the Rhône River. In 2007, the Avalon Tranquility and the Avalon Imagery® were launched, joining their sister ship, the Avalon Tapestry®, on Europe's greatest rivers. In fact, the average age of the Avalon fleet in Europe is just two years old.
